The Wisecap® group, one of the largest producers of caps for the Beverage sector at European level, was the first in Europe to obtain ISCC Plus certification in 2021 to offer its customers the widest range of products in line with European regulations and an increasingly eco-sustainable approach.
The renewal of the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus certification allows you to certify that the caps produced contain certified plastic materials deriving from materials that meet the sustainability requirements through the mass balance, traced throughout the production chain.
In June 2022, the Wisecap® group again obtained the ISCC PLUS certification as evidence of its commitment in this area.
This production system includes the use of plant-based raw materials (e.g. corn, sugar cane), organic obtained from residual waste from the agricultural sector obtained from non-biological fossil-based materials and waste from mechanical / chemical processing (e.g. mixed plastic waste) and those obtained from renewable energy sources other than biomass. The certification of the supply chain allows to facilitate the ecological transition and develop sustainable supply chains.
Alessandro Delfanti, CEO of Wisecap® Group commented: “At Wisecap® we have always paid particular attention to the issue of environmental sustainability, but in recent years it has become our priority, which is why we wanted to be the first to certify, we are implementing an increasingly corporate policy green. At the production level, we are planning to align the entire supply chain with environmental policy, in order to offer our customers a greater guarantee of sustainability: improving our quality of life passes through respect for the environment in which we live. “
